AVK wins the FIT EARLY grant for 2013
AVK systems SA, announced today that they have won the FIT EARLY grant for 2103. This follows a presentation made to the FIT EARLY committee composed of industry and financial experts, and due diligence by conducted by defigestion SA. AVK’s candidature was retained and considered favorably based on its sound technology and business proposition, potential for growth, and the continued backing of AVK’s existing investors. Earlier AVK had won the FIT SEED grant in 2010.

AVK wins the Swiss TOP 100 AWARD
AVK systems SA, world leaders in HD Audio solutions for sport broadcasting, has been ranked as one of the 100 most innovative start-ups in Switzerland in 2013. Earlier this year, AVK systems had won the Red herring Top 100 award for Europe.
This follows an official announcement by IFJ Institut für Jungunternehmen AG following careful evaluation of over 100’000 young companies by a pool of over 100 startup experts.
The list of top 100 Swiss Startups was announced at a special event on Wednesday, September 18th, 2013, at the Härterei in Zürich and the result will be published on September 19th, 2013, in a special edition of the Handelszeitung and the PME.
Each year, startup.ch launches the TOP 100 STARTUP AWARD in cooperation with the Handelszeitung and PME Magazine. From over 100,000 young companies, the 100 most innovative and promising Swiss startups are picked by top startup experts.

AVK delivers Zero Frame delay breakthrough
In what is arguably an industry first, AVK Systems today announced that its engineering team has achieved ZERO FRAME latency for its revolutionary LSA solution delivering HD Audio for Slow motion and super Slow motion. This means that AVK's LSA solution can be seamlessly integrated with any Production infrastructure around the world regardless of the production flow. "This is most certainly a landmark achievement" said David Guhl, VP Engineering at AVK Systems. "2 to 3 frame latencies that are typical in broadcast production set-ups but we wanted to ensure that we redefine the benchmark with Zero latency. I'm happy that this breakthrough will further help in the integration of our solution with broadcasters and give our partners and clients complete freedom and flexibility in how they use our solution".

AVK nominated for the Prix Perl
AVK Systems and its pioneering HD Audio solution has been nominated for the 2013 edition of the Prix Perl, an annual award conferred by Lausanne region to reward the most promising start-ups and entrepreneurs. This follows evaluation by a Jury composed of key representatives from the region’s political, financial, media, education, and technology institutes. The 2013 edition of the Prix Perl set a record of sorts, both in terms of the number of applications considered and number of nominees shortlisted for the award. The regional daily, Le 24 Heures, carried a full page article on the 25th to highlight the quality and innovation of all the 9 nominees shortlisted. The winners will be announced in a public ceremony to be held on the 2nd of May in Lausanne.

AVK chosen as 2013 Red Herring Top 100 Europe
AVK systems SA, world leaders in HD Audio solutions for sport broadcasting, announced today that it has won the prestigious Red Herring Top 100 Europe award for 2013. This follows an official announcement by Red Herring who unveiled this year’s Top 100 award winner list in a ceremony held in Amsterdam yesterday (10th of April 2013).
Red Herring’s Top 100 Europe list has become a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies and entrepreneurs. Red Herring’s editors were among the first to recognize that companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype, Salesforce.com, YouTube, and eBay would change the way we live and work.
“Selecting startups that show the most potential for disruption and growth is never easy,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “We looked at hundreds and hundreds of candidates from all across the continent, and after much thought and debate, narrowed the list down to the Top 100 Winners.
